Dr. Jenna Dockweiler graduated from Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and participated in a small animal rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in 2015. In 2017, she completed a comparative theriogenology residency at Cornell University and became a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists that same year. Over the next four years, she worked in full-time clinical practice across general practice, small animal theriogenology, and physical rehabilitation. She continues to stay connected to clinical medicine through periodic relief work.
After transitioning out of full-time clinical practice, Dr. Dockweiler spent four years working in canine genetics, with a strong emphasis on pet parent and veterinary education. In 2025, she joined IDEXX as a Medical Affairs Specialist, where she continues to pursue her passion for education and for empowering pet parents with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their animals’ care.
Dr. Dockweiler has authored textbook chapters, scientific manuscripts, industry articles in respected publications, and accessible, pet-parent-focused educational pieces. Across all her work, she brings a commitment to clarity, accuracy, and practical value.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Dockweiler enjoys hiking, skiing, photography, and competing in show and performance events with her Welsh springer spaniels. She is currently owned by four dogs and one cat (who firmly believes he is a dog), all of whom provide an endless supply of entertainment and affection
